We've got deets on the Bachchans' grand celebrations for Ash

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turns 38 today, and it is a doubly happy occasion for the family as she's also expecting her first baby very soon. Mid-November is the due-date for Ash and Abhishek's little one, and all of Bollywood is waiting for the big day.

For today, the Bachchans reportedly have a massive celebration planned at Jalsa, their home in Mumbai. It is apparently going to be a private affair this evening, with family and close friends attending - much like the recent Godh Bharai ceremony for the actress.

We hear that Aishwarya planned to start the day by visiting a temple (which she does every year), but it might happen that the Bachchans will just have a puja at home for her.

Abhishek has worked around his schedule to be free this evening to enjoy the party with Ash.

He also posted on his Twitter page early today (after being flooded with birthday greetings for Aishwarya), "Thank you all for the wonderful and thoughtful wishes for Aishwarya. Will read them all out to her."

The buzz is that in-laws Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan plan to gift Ash jewellery while hubby Abhi might be getting her a super expensive car. Watch this space for updates!
