Vidya and Emraan lock lips in 'The Dirty Picture'


If sources are to be believed, Vidya Balan's current boyfriend Siddharth Roy Kapoor didn't like her intimate scenes in the film.


Apparently, Siddharth Roy Kapoor asked Vidya Balan why she agreed to do the kissing scenes.



Vidya Balan had to take up smoking as well for 'The Dirty Picture'.


Shooting for the film has not been an easy task for Vidya too. She was lately hospitalized for stress and exhaustion.



Vidya Balan's character in 'The Dirty Picture' is based on the life of Southern star Silk Smitha.



Silk Smitha started off her career as a make-up girl. Later she became a movie extra. No one could imagine that she will become one of the most wanted actresses of 80s one day.



For the entire world Silk Smitha was a superstar, but at heart she was like any other girl craving for love.


Vidya Balan will be seen romancing Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah in the film.


Vidya Balan's 'The Dirty Picture' is being released on December 2, 2011.


Vidya has done lovemaking scenes previously as well.

Vidya, Emraan sizzle it up in 'The Dirty Picture'
Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah starrer 'The Dirty Picture' is one of the most talked about films of the year.

'The Dirty Picture' is based on the life of Southern superstar Silk Smitha. Vidya Balan will be seen in lead role in the film.
Directed by Milan Luthria, the film has been produced by Ekta Kapoor.
'The Dirty Picture' has been making headlines from long. The steamy scenes in the film are one of its USPs.
Producer Ekta Kapoor says that Vidya Balan was her first choice for the film, because of her acting skills.
Vidya Balan, who will be seen wearing low necks and hot pants in the film, had to gain weight for the film.
In past, Vidya has done films like 'Parineeta', 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', 'Paa', 'Ishqiya' and 'No One Killed Jessica'.
Vidya has done lovemaking scenes previously as well.

Mumbai: Vidya Balan has certainly taken one and all by surprise with her sizzling hot avatar in Milan Luthria’s `The Dirty Picture`. The actress, who plays sex siren Silk Smitha has stumped veteran music composer Bappi Lahiri. The Bengali musician is smitten by Vidya’s sensuousness and is going ga-ga over her.
The music director has composed the song `Ooh La La` that is picturised on Vidya. Expressing his awe, Bappi while talking to a daily said, “Before the song, I don’t think any of her fans could have ever imagined her looking as sexy and glamorous as this.”

He is also all praise for Luthria and Ekta Kapoor for treating the story in the best possible way.

“The way the film has been picturised is awesome,” said Bappi.

Lahiri, who was responsible for bringing Disco to the middle-class household is confident his song will outdo `Munni` and `Sheila`.

“‘Ooh La La…’ has already become a craze. It will rock the nation. I will be remembered for another 25 years for Ooh La La…’” said the veteran

Vidya’s beau insecure about ‘The Dirty Picture’


Mumbai: We all know that Vidya Balan has shed all her inhibitions to portray south Indian sex-bomb Silk Smitha in Milan Luthria’s `The Dirty Picture`. The film which happens to be producer Ekta Kapoor’s ambitious project has raised many eyebrows for the explicit content even in its trailers.

Vidya has definitely taken all her fans by surprise but seems to have peeved her beau.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, UTV’s head honcho, who is dating the talented actress, is reasonably miffed with the over-the-top raunchy scenes of his ladylove, in the film that is slated to release this Christmas.

Talking to a tabloid, a source said, “Naturally, Siddharth wasn`t too pleased about her kissing scenes and asked her why she agreed to shoot them.”

“Siddharth also tried asking Vidya if there was a way she could get the scenes in question toned down,” added the source.

However, Ekta is in no mood to give in to Siddharth’s request, for she will not compromise with her work at any cost.

"The film is about the life of Silk Smitha sassy girl. But there`s also a good measure of dark humour, intense drama. So whatever Vidya`s shot, is in keeping with the subject and her character," said the source.

Talking about the bold character that Vidya essays in the film, director Luthria said, “It goes without saying that it`s not a very easy scene to shoot. The film seeks to push the envelope further, that`s the kind of clarity she and I share, right from the start. She`s very professional and everything went off fine. This is just one aspect of the movie, there are so many more. Nonetheless, there was no discomfort when she shot the scenes in question."
