Persian punk that used Persian prints to create a sexy,
nomadic feel. The designer teamed luxury with comfort with outfits such
as kaftans, robes with bikinis, one sided cape dress, harem pants and
jumpsuits with frayed ages, and jumpsuits with one-sided kaftan sleeves.
The silhouettes were free flowing, and the fabrics
soft, and the colour palette include black, gold, orange, mustards
bright red green. Another highlight of the collection were sexy
accessories such as gold bling bands. Dhara Thakkar Baroque's collection
was all about exuberance and grandeur. One saw a mélange of the old and
the new, while the colours used were exotic yellow, mustard, red,
orange, royal blue, purple with a dash of white and black. Free flowing
silhouettes with elements such as ruching, frayed hemlines, gathers,
cowls empire cuts with twisted sleeves lend the collection an uber cool
touch.
Babita Malkani’s Beach Bonita, was playful and glamorous,
inspired during a holiday at the Spanish island of Ibiza. Models
sashayed down the ramp in Palazzos jumpsuits, drape dresses, dresses and
kaftans.
